 Connor hiding from a butterfly!

When my son Connor as born, all that I wanted to do was to hold him and keep him close. The baby was quite contented with this arrangment, however, my daughter Kiara had other ideas! After 8 long weeks, I discovered baby slings and my life was miraulously transformed overnight! Now I could wash the dishes, tackle the laundry mountain and play with Kiara-all whilst keeping Connor snuggled up close to me. Bliss!

I dearly wanted to share my discovery with friends and family- so I began making a range of baby slings -pouches, rings slings and The Baby Pouch. In 2005, Daisy Chain Slings Ltd was born and I began selling my slings. I was delighted by the feedback that I got from customers-it really made my day to think of all the babies snuggled up in their slings!

However, as Connor grew bigger and heavier, I found that I preferred the comfort and style of mei tais- and began designing the Daisy Chain Mei Tai. It took me nearly a year to fully complete the design, including several rounds of testing with several experienced babywearers...

The Daisy Chain Mei Tai had to be really sturdy so that it fully supported the weight of my robust, chunky son-but also soft and well-padded so that I was comfortable carrying him. I also really wanted a sleeping hood to support his head when he nodded off on long shopping trips!

My motivation...
